Little and Big Kid Activities in Ayia Napa

Ayia Napa, in Cyprus’ southern coast, has
unfairly gained a reputation for being the place where young people congregate
and go wild. However, this undermines the other attractions of the area. For a
trip that ticks the right boxes for adrenaline junkies and kids who wish they
were pirates, Ayia Napa is in fact an ideal destination. Likewise, dads who
usually have to deal with the physical challenge of keeping up with their
restless kids will be happy to discover plenty of activities in Ayia Napa to
tire them out.

Chilling on the Beach

Nissi Beach is where the majority of the beach
parties are held by BBC Radio One and MTV. The beach has powder white sand and
crystal clear water, although families may find the crowds of raucous young
people a deterrent. The solution? Just opt for the quieter, just as beautiful
and family-friendly Makronisos beach. Nearby is also Grecian Bay, an enchanting
beach that covers a small fishing harbour and three coves. Mostly attracting
local people, the beach has retained serenity unlike most other beaches in Ayia
Napa.

Parko Paliatso Fun Fair

This fun park is located in the heart of Ayia
Napa, and covers an impressive 25,000 square metres. Little ones have an indoor
play area and plenty of gentle rides to enjoy such as bumper boats,
trampolines, tea-cups and carousels. Older kids and dads will enjoy the Viking
pirate ship, rodeo bull and sling shot.

Kid-Friendly Adventures

Waterworld Waterpark opened in 1996 and has
slides, pools and water play areas for kids of all ages to enjoy. Try out the
breath-taking Poseidon wave pool, kamikaze slides and the towering drop of
Atlantis.

After this, go out to sea on the Black Pearl, a
pirate ship that’s rigged up like the one from the Pirates of the Carribean
movie. This includes an action packed pirate show, firing canons and
refreshments in the ticket price. The round trip takes about four hours. This
allows time for wannabe pirates to trade secrets with Jack Sparrow, walk the
plank and swim in the shallow waters of the coves in Ayia Napa Harbour.

Finally, dads who are keen to get the blood and
adrenaline pumping should also try out bungee jumping on Nissi beach. This
costs around 90 Euros per attempt and is strictly for the big boys only.

Ayia Napa holidays promise beautiful
sceneries

and a wide range of outdoor adventures, so dads and their eager beaver kids can
get their thrills: only a few places in the whole Med can compete with what
this small but fun-packed area has to offer.
