Dad’s want every-day, Kid-Friendly, family recipes that are
easy to learn and make at home. Our Dad Cooking Blogger, Cook Like A Dad is all

home. This month, learn how to make an all-American Bacon Cheese Burger….
Summer Time Fun Time
It’s time to fire up that grill and
throw some patties on the flame, because summer is here and it’s coming in
hot! Summer is the perfect time to
get together with friends and family and spend some fun quality time together –
and what better a place to do it than at a poolside barbeque, for example. Beat the heat with the cool pool and
satisfy your cravings as your sink your teeth into a mouth-watering
cheeseburger. Want to impress that
one especially attractive woman that you’ve had your eyes on for the past few
weeks? Or perhaps you want to
teach your growing boy how to man the grill now that he’s tall enough to flip
patties. Regardless of your
motives, a barbeque is a great opportunity to kick back, have fun, and relax in
the sun as you cook up something fresh and exciting for
this summer’s menu!
Dad got on the menu this time?
Nothing better than a classic twist of that All-American bacon
cheeseburger! With a hungry crowd
to feed and please, something simple to prepare yet tasty and delicious is a
must – especially when you’re the one behind the grill! Add a little something extra to spice
up the occasion by marinating the patties the night before or, my favorite,
include pieces of chopped red onion into the actual hamburger meat, along with
a concoction of selected spices subject to your discretion. After the patties have gone onto the
grill, flipping and adding the essential cheese and bacon when the time calls
for it, you can take a seat and relax for a minute. Then, when the burgers are ready and the present company is
too, you can finally enjoy the fruits (or in this case, burgers) of your hard
work and see the delight you incited in the full faces of friends and family
nearby. Nothing tastes better than
a juicy cheeseburger and a shared smile during summertime!
grab your pitchforks and spatulas and start planning the barbeque of the
summer! Show your children you
know how to have a good time, and impress them with your skillet skills as you
fill their bellies with food and mind with warm memories. A barbeque is the perfect event for the
single dad who wants to do something exciting without having to put in an
overwhelming amount of effort (since summer is all about relaxing anyways,
right?). All you need is cheerful
company, some burgers and soda (perhaps a nice cold one to take an edge off),
and perhaps a pool – just to make it complete – and voila! Summer success! Just don’t forget to turn off the grill
when you’re done!
